About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Lead Plumber to oversee residential and light commercial plumbing installations, service, and repair projects. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for leading a team of plumbers and apprentices, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a licensed plumber with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor others while working in the field. This position is ideal for a skilled plumber who enjoys leading a team, delivering high-quality workmanship, and helping grow a successful plumbing department while remaining actively involved in field operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of residential plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, drain systems, gas piping, and code requirements.
  • Experience leading crews and mentoring apprentices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Experience using Service Titan or similar field service software preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
  • Must be English/Spanish Bilingual

  • Backflow certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise plumbing installation, service, and repair projects.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing specifications.
  • Assign daily tasks and guide plumbers and apprentices.
  • Train and mentor team members to improve technical skills and productivity.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards.
  • Communicate with customers regarding project progress, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and job site logistics.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, material usage, and service reports using Service Titan or similar software.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Assist management with scheduling, estimating, and resolving field issues as needed.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation when required.
