About The Position

KLA’s Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers metrology solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, including systems measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity. The division partners with customers from early R&D through high-volume production. The Lead Platform Infrastructure Engineer will build and automate infrastructure that powers applications. The role includes deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, automating environment builds, improving monitoring and platform reliability, and helping application teams deploy and operate services. The engineer will own platform components end to end, participate in technical design and code reviews, and take on complex technical challenges.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years running production Kubernetes at scale, including cluster installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting beyond managed cloud services.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including owning architecture for a platform or major subsystem and guiding the work of other engineers.
  • Deep Linux administration skills.
  • Solid knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VLANs, and of storage concepts.
