About The Position

The Lead Platform Engineer on DTCC’s Backup as a Service (BaaS) Engineering team helps engineer and support enterprise data protection and recovery capabilities that ensure the availability, recoverability, and resiliency of critical technology services. The role contributes to the design, engineering, automation, and continuous improvement of backup, recovery, and cyber resiliency solutions across complex technology environments. It combines hands-on platform engineering with programming, technology management, troubleshooting, and technical leadership. The engineer works with infrastructure, application, database, cloud, architecture, security, storage, and cyber resiliency teams to integrate data protection requirements into technology solutions, improve operational efficiency through programming and automation, and support reliable recovery capabilities. The role also supports production operations, audit, risk, and regulatory needs, and helps modernize enterprise data protection services. DTCC describes its work arrangement as a flexible hybrid model with three days onsite and two days remote; onsite days include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day unique to each team or employee.
