About The Position

Omnicare, a provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, is hiring a Lead Pharmacy Technician for its closed-door pharmacy Back End department. The role supports order fulfillment for long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers. The lead helps prepare medications for pharmacist dispensing and supports packaging and dispensing, delivery-order and bin accuracy reviews, and stock rotations. Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public. This position will be employed by Omnicare as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health.

Requirements

Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist the Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments in achieving their objectives.
Provide regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance.
Partner with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborate with field training teams as needed.
Assist with orientation, training, and education programs for controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, and state and federal laws.
Support proper medication preparation, order fulfillment, packaging and dispensing, delivery-order and bin accuracy reviews, and stock rotations.
