About The Position

True Vine Church Community (TVCC) is seeking a Lead Pastor to continue leading the congregation in sustaining revival. The church seeks a pastor who loves people, builds genuine relationships, and connects meaningfully with its urban, multiethnic, and multigenerational community. The pastor will embrace diversity, understand the opportunities and challenges of urban ministry, and have a heart for reaching the community with the Gospel. The role calls for developing and empowering leaders, investing in the next generation, building unity across cultures and generations, and leading with humility, integrity, wisdom, and emotional health. The pastor must love Jesus deeply, faithfully teach God's Word, and lead the church into its next season while honoring and building upon its existing work. TVCC is located in Philadelphia’s Wissinoming neighborhood and includes English and Spanish congregations. Members represent more than a dozen birth nations. Average Sunday attendance is 130–140 combined, with an English service at 10 AM and a Spanish service at 1 PM. The church’s vision is to make disciples who sustain revival, which it defines as spiritual renewal that leads to social change. Its strategies include being filled with the Holy Spirit, valuing the manifest presence of God, growing in spiritual formation, developing healthy souls, and living in community. The Lead Pastor is accountable to the church’s Governing Board and participates in annual performance evaluations based primarily on the role description and mutually agreed goals. As a licensed official worker, the Lead Pastor is also accountable to the Metro District Superintendent. Licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance is required. Applicants should submit an application including a testimony, resume, and other relevant background information. Candidates should not contact the church directly.
