About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a Lead Orthodontic Assistant to optimize patient flow, provide outstanding patient service, and increase patient satisfaction through leading and developing the team. The position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager. The pay range is $19–$28 per hour, with bonus opportunities and mileage payout when traveling. The role supports the organization’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Requirements

Active certification that meets state requirements.
Radiology education and training that meet state requirements.
Previous orthodontic assisting experience.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to train and lead a team of Orthodontic Assistants.
Experience leading multidimensional, cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and training Orthodontic Assistants and lead group trainings as necessary.
Explain treatment and tailor personal care education to patients’ needs.
Establish clear expectations for teammates around the desired patient experience and respond promptly to customers’ needs.
Support optimized schedules with regular open-treatment calls, educating patients’ parents or guardians on the importance and urgency of pending treatment.
Participate in Orthodontic Assistant interviews and performance evaluations.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
