About The Position

At Novonesis, our Blending team plays a critical role in producing high‑quality probiotic powders that support the well‑being of customers around the world. Based in Wausau, this team operates specialized machinery to blend raw materials into finished formulations used in multiple downstream applications. You’ll join a group of highly supportive, safety‑focused colleagues who take pride in doing great work every day. Together, the team works efficiently and responsibly to ensure safe operations, strong quality standards, and reliable production that directly supports Novonesis’ purpose of creating solutions that make a positive impact. As a Lead Operator – Blending (Weekends), you will take an active, hands‑on role in operating and overseeing blending processes while supporting and guiding fellow operators during weekend shifts. This is a highly operational role with strong ownership of safety, quality, and documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating machinery and a solid understanding of mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within food, supplement, or pharmaceutical environments
  • Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out principles
  • Strong awareness of personal hygiene requirements in food or supplement production
  • Ability to re‑prioritize tasks throughout the shift as production needs change

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting or guiding other operators on the floor
  • Confidence reviewing documentation and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Interest in process improvement, safety culture, and quality excellence

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating blending equipment and performing basic troubleshooting
  • Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling machinery according to procedures
  • Completing and reviewing all required production and quality documentation for accuracy
  • Communicating equipment issues or process deviations to management or maintenance
  • Coordinating daily expectations and priorities with team members
  • Staying current on all required training and promoting proper training within the team
