About The Position

Lime is hiring a Lead Operations Specialist to maintain its fleet of shared electric vehicles and support daily local operations. The role leads and coaches Operations Specialists and Senior Operations Specialists, assigns tasks, and helps maintain efficient workflows and a team-oriented environment. It also involves safely driving a van to deploy and retrieve vehicles, interacting with the local community, and handling city requests and field issues. The Lead Operations Specialist helps keep vehicles safe, clean, and compliant through inspections, minor repairs, battery-management support, parking patrols, and warehouse-flow assistance. The position may also include customer support, event assistance, and operating equipment such as a push cart, pallet jack, or forklift. This is a contracted position employed and compensated by a third-party employer; compensation and benefits, if any, are determined and provided by that employer.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
One year of experience in a similar position leading and coaching others.
Understanding of workforce management to help Operations Management ensure efficient staffing.
Experience in a similar position and knowledge of local geography.
Ability to drive large vans and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to frequently lift up to 65 lb / 35 kg.
Knowledge of cell phone applications.
Ability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform quick, efficient repairs.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage daily tasks.
Safety-oriented mindset and ability to conduct rigorous quality checks.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with team members, riders, and city officials.
Must sign a waiver acknowledging the dual-facing AI dash cams installed in Lime vehicles, which record the road and inside the cab.

Responsibilities

Onboard, train, and lead Operations Specialists and Senior Operations Specialists; assign daily tasks and ensure workflows are efficient and thorough.
Maintain a team-oriented environment and integrate new team members.
Evaluate team performance and provide feedback.
Safely operate a van for several hours a day to deploy and retrieve Lime electric vehicles in the local market.
Interact with the local community to retrieve vehicles, assess risks, preserve safety, and occasionally use de-escalation skills.
Address and resolve city requests concerning stickers, reflectors, and other minor issues in accordance with Lime service-level agreements.
Maintain communication with peers, the shift lead, and the manager.
Support Lime events, including valet services, staging, safety reviews, and vehicle cleanliness.
Support battery-management operations when applicable by completing accurate documentation and quality checks.
Perform preventative vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including brake adjustments and tire inflation; assist with scooter rotation and warehouse flow.
Conduct on-foot patrols of designated local zones to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness in accordance with city requests.
Detect and report uncommon situations related to on-the-ground service and products.
Occasionally assist customers in the field with Lime vehicles.
Follow established safety procedures and conduct quality checks to help ensure riders use safe vehicles.
Safely operate a push cart, pallet jack, and/or forklift when required to move vehicle inventory.
Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
