About The Position

Thumbtack is seeking a Lead Operations Program Manager, Product to partner closely with product leadership. This role will focus on transforming how the product organization plans, builds, and operates, with a central focus on AI. The successful candidate will help design the Product organization's planning, prioritization, and execution processes as they adopt AI-enabled workflows and evolve their ways of working. This role supports both Product Management and Design, leading strategic initiatives, establishing operating rhythms, and strengthening collaboration across Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Design. The position is ideal for someone energized by ambiguity and skilled in creating clarity and cohesion through thoughtful systems and processes.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or program management within high-growth technology companies or similarly fast-paced environments.
Deep experience partnering with Product and/or Design organizations, with expert-level fluency in how modern product teams plan, prioritize, and deliver work.
A track record of leading large, strategic programs and cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior leaders and aligning teams without formal authority.
Experience building scalable processes and planning systems that improve organizational decision-making and execution.
Proven ability to create structure and clarity out of ambiguity using structured problem-solving and systems thinking.
Experience with modern planning approaches and tools (e.g., Continuous Planning, Linear, or similar platforms).

Nice To Haves

Experience in consumer marketplaces, SMB platforms, or technology-enabled services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead annual and ongoing continuous planning for the Product organization, influencing operating rhythms for strategic alignment.
Design the Product org's operational framework, including leadership forums, decision-making processes, and cross-functional operating rhythms.
Lead large, strategic programs spanning Product, Engineering, Design, and Analytics, driving alignment and resolving high-level issues.
Set the strategy and processes for key Product operations programs such as onboarding, communications, and team rituals.
Lead large-scale change management programs to influence adoption of new planning strategies, systems, or processes.
Drive strategic discussions with senior leaders, navigating stakeholder dynamics and aligning diverse perspectives.
Take ownership of ambiguous, cross-functional problems, developing comprehensive, long-term solutions using structured problem-solving and systems thinking.
