About The Position

This position is for an experienced and licensed teacher within the ELC who will serve as a model for integrating student assessment and technology to drive instruction. The role involves a full teaching load plus additional responsibilities in planning and facilitating new teacher orientations, professional development sessions, and providing one-on-one support to ELC faculty. The lead will focus on Mastery Connect, technology and curriculum integration, and Google Classroom. Responsibilities also include supporting the organization and data collection of assessments, analyzing data to inform instruction and professional development, and participating in various school-wide professional learning activities. This role is for an existing ELC classroom teacher who will receive a lane change for the additional workload, with responsibilities extending beyond the regular school day/year.

Requirements

  • Experienced and licensed teacher.
  • Demonstrated exemplary teaching and instructional leadership skills.
  • Emphasis on integrating student assessment and technology for the use of instruction.
  • Completed the Mastery Connect train the trainer professional development.
  • Experience using Google Classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a model classroom for effective instruction using student assessment and technology to drive instruction.
  • Plan and facilitate new teacher orientation sessions.
  • Plan and facilitate professional development sessions.
  • Provide one-on-one support focused on Mastery Connect, technology and curriculum integration, and Google Classroom for ELC faculty.
  • Support the integration of Mastery Connect and Google Classroom into the ELC instructional planning process.
  • Support the organization and data collection of common formative and summative assessments and quarterly data cycles.
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to inform instruction and professional development in conjunction with the ELC Leadership team.
  • Plan, facilitate and/or participate in PLCs, faculty meetings, PD, Chelsea Professional Learning Academies and New Teacher Days on and Google Classroom as needed.
