About The Position

Global Payments is seeking a Lead MuleSoft Platform & Integration Architect to join its Cloud Engineering – Boarding team. The role leads the strategy, reliability, and evolution of the enterprise integration ecosystem, including the platforms and APIs that support critical business capabilities. It combines architecture leadership with hands-on ownership of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to help teams connect systems, accelerate innovation, and deliver secure, scalable, resilient experiences. The position supports operational excellence, business growth, and the company’s payment solutions worldwide.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, software engineering, or systems integration, including significant experience delivering MuleSoft solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven success designing and governing large-scale API-led integration architectures that improve scalability, reliability, security, and business outcomes.
• Deep expertise administering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform environments, including platform governance, runtime management, security controls, observability, lifecycle management, and production operations.
• Ability to lead technical strategy, influence stakeholders, and translate complex architectural decisions into clear business value and actionable outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience driving platform maturity, modernization initiatives, operational improvements, and enterprise-wide adoption of integration standards and best practices.

Nice To Haves

• MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, or related MuleSoft certifications.
• Experience building or scaling a MuleSoft Center for Enablement (C4E) or integration center of excellence.
• Experience in payments, financial services, or another highly regulated, high-availability environment requiring strong governance and operational rigor.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute MuleSoft platform strategy, including scalable architecture patterns and runtime roadmaps.
• Own Anypoint Platform performance, reliability, and security, improving platform health, availability, governance, and service outcomes.
• Evaluate integration capabilities, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver modernization plans that reduce technical debt and improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Lead architecture reviews and develop reusable frameworks, governance standards, and technical enablement practices.
• Establish enablement practices, mentor teams, and promote adoption of integration best practices.
