About The Position

The Lead MuleSoft Platform & Integration Architect will shape the strategy, reliability, and evolution of Global Payments’ enterprise integration ecosystem. The role combines architecture leadership with hands-on ownership of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to help ensure platforms and APIs supporting critical business capabilities are secure, scalable, and resilient. The architect will influence how teams connect systems, accelerate innovation, and deliver seamless experiences for clients globally.

The position leads MuleSoft platform strategy and architecture, platform performance and operational health, and modernization initiatives that improve scalability and efficiency while reducing technical debt. It also advances engineering excellence through architecture reviews, reusable frameworks, governance standards, technical enablement, mentoring, and enterprise adoption of integration best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, software engineering, or systems integration, including significant experience delivering MuleSoft solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven success designing and governing large-scale API-led integration architectures that improve scalability, reliability, security, and business outcomes.
• Deep expertise administering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform environments, including platform governance, runtime management, security controls, observability, lifecycle management, and production operations.
• Ability to lead technical strategy, influence stakeholders, and translate complex architectural decisions into clear business value and actionable outcomes.
• Demonstrated track record of driving platform maturity, modernization initiatives, operational improvements, and enterprise-wide adoption of integration standards and best practices.

Nice To Haves

• MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, or related MuleSoft certifications.
• Experience building or scaling a MuleSoft Center for Enablement (C4E) or integration center of excellence.
• Experience in payments, financial services, or other highly regulated, high-availability environments requiring strong governance and operational rigor.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the MuleSoft platform strategy, including scalable architecture patterns and runtime roadmaps.
• Own the performance, reliability, and security of the Anypoint Platform, improving platform health, availability, governance, and service outcomes.
• Evaluate current integration capabilities, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver modernization plans that reduce technical debt and improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Lead architecture reviews and establish reusable frameworks and governance standards to improve delivery quality and consistency.
• Establish enablement practices, mentor teams, and drive adoption of integration best practices.
