About The Position

Unanet’s growing Product Team is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer focused on iOS and Android mobile applications built with React Native. This role provides enterprise-grade technical solutions and advice to mobile development and quality engineering teams to implement, maintain, and innovate testing strategies, with an emphasis on test automation, performance testing, and functional security.

The position leads QA efforts across ERP, CRM, and asset management applications; defines and evolves automation, regression, performance, and release testing strategies within AI PDLC processes; and architects scalable test automation frameworks for mobile and web applications and REST APIs. The role also develops and maintains automated test suites, integrates testing into CI/CD pipelines, manages the mobile QA backlog, handles escalations and defect analysis, and collaborates across Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Leadership. It includes mentoring QA Engineers and contributing to hiring, onboarding, and the development of a scalable QA practice.

The salary range is $130,300–$140,036 per year. The employee is eligible for discretionary bonus compensation and participation in Unanet employee benefits plans and programs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering in B2B SaaS or other complex business software.
• 3+ years of iOS and Android testing for enterprise-level mobile applications.
• 3+ years of test automation experience, such as BrowserStack, Appium, Playwright, or Detox.
• 1+ years of experience leading a team.
• Practitioner-level experience writing test cases and enabling automation strategies.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills when balancing competing goals and deadlines.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies, test case coverage analysis, and effective hardening and exploration strategies.
• Experience with mobile application testing, such as Appium or Maestro.
• Experience with API testing, such as Postman, Python, or SmartBear.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities, with an analytical and efficient approach to solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading or mentoring Quality Engineers.
• Prior experience with AI-enabled QA technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts toward successful mobile application delivery, overseeing manual and automation test strategy, plans, processes, and execution across ERP, CRM, and asset management applications.
• Define and evolve comprehensive automation, regression, performance, and release testing strategies within AI PDLC processes.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for mobile applications, web applications, and REST APIs.
• Write and review high-quality automated test scripts and ensure integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and execute automated mobile UI, integration, and regression test suites to ensure product reliability and scalability.
• Own and prioritize the mobile QA backlog, including automation coverage, technical debt, and infrastructure testing initiatives.
• Serve as a point of escalation for QA matters, managing risk, prioritizing coverage, and ensuring release readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex defects by analyzing logs and system behavior; drive root cause analysis and long-term quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Leadership to define acceptance criteria, quality standards, and test requirements.
• Aid in manual testing while evolving automation coverage.
• Champion quality engineering best practices, testability, and maintainable code design.
• Mentor and develop QA Engineers through hands-on guidance on automation frameworks, tools, and testing methodologies.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and building a high-performing QA practice that scales with the organization.
