About The Position

As a Lead Merchandiser, you’ll be the driving force behind Pepsi’s in-store success—leading teams, executing winning displays, and ensuring our products stand out and sell fast. This role blends hands-on merchandising with leadership and training, making you a key partner to the Area Sales Manager and a go-to resource for the merchandising team. You’ll either lead a team of Sales Merchandisers or independently execute merchandising strategies that boost product visibility, availability, and sales across assigned retail locations. From stocking shelves and building displays to coaching new hires and covering open routes, your work directly impacts Pepsi’s market presence and customer satisfaction.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays
  • Ability to drive to accounts within assigned territory
  • Ability to maintain a clean, professional appearance
  • Ability to act ethically and professionally
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage for open zones due to vacations or call-offs
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing Sales Merchandisers and new hires
  • Support the Area Sales Manager with daily operations, training, and execution
  • Train new Sales Merchandiser trainees on in-store execution and Walmart/Dollar General processes
  • Set up, maintain, and rotate product displays according to planograms and company standards
  • Service and stock all cold drink equipment and floor/backroom inventory
  • Ensure proper product rotation to maintain freshness and quality
  • Implement promotional signage, POP materials, and in-store advertising to maximize sales
  • Hang banners and maintain cleanliness of all outside equipment
  • Service approved customer accounts daily and resolve customer concerns promptly
  • Monitor competitive activity and report insights daily to the Area Sales Manager
  • Call in equipment work orders when needed and report issues daily
  • Report any accidents involving Pepsi employees in stores
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance in line with company policy
  • Act ethically and professionally while representing Pepsi and its customers
  • Work scheduled weekends and holidays as approved
  • Drive personal vehicle to accounts within assigned territory
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
