About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to support patient care in its dermatology practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. The organization’s mission is to provide high-quality patient care and experience in dermatology and aesthetic services. The role involves evaluating and documenting patients’ skin conditions and symptoms, reviewing medical histories, discussing treatment options, providing preventive skin-care education, conducting non-intrusive medical procedures, and screening patients and employees upon entry.

The position offers career advancement opportunities and incentive plans that may provide up to an additional $2 per hour. Benefits are available to employees working 30 or more hours per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• A Medical Assistant certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Keep records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information regarding skin health conditions.
• Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries.
• Educate patients about preventive skin care.
• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
