•$118,023 - $180,313•Hybrid

About The Position

This is a lead-level mechanical engineering role on multidisciplinary project design teams, with a hybrid work arrangement combining work from home and office work. The position involves leading mechanical design and analysis for special-purpose equipment, pressure vessels, and interfacing systems, controls, and structural support elements. It offers challenging work and opportunities for career advancement. The role includes technical oversight of assigned staff, management of assigned work within project schedules and budgets, preparation and review of calculations, designs, specifications, reports, and studies, and preparation of design inputs for drawings. The engineer will also develop budgets, schedules, and work plans for single-discipline projects with simple scopes; communicate with vendors and customers; and mentor junior engineers. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Sargent & Lundy’s Government Services Division supports DOE sites, national laboratories, and NNSA facilities through engineering design and consulting. Its work includes facilities, systems, and equipment for treating, storing, and disposing of nuclear waste and safely handling and processing nuclear material.
