We're looking for a Lead Mechanic to lead a team of mechanics in performing non-engine mechanical work on commercial vehicles. Requirements

  • Six years of general mechanical work experience, including at least 3 years of experience with commercial vehicles.
  • Experience doing commercial vehicle alignments is a must.
  • Must have own tools and tool storage.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with computer point of sale software is a plus.
  • Possessing a CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical work including but not limited to alignments, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, kingpins, fluid changes, and DOT Inspections for commercial and light truck applications.
  • Provide leadership for a team of mechanics doing similar work by providing guidance and training to other team members, helping to assign jobs and duties to team members, assisting with scheduling customer jobs, and helping to motivate team members and keep them on task.
  • Maintain and control parts and supplies inventory.
  • Track and record work performed and create work orders for customer jobs.
