About The Position

The Lead Mechanic will supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians. This role involves assigning tasks, monitoring workflow, and performing advanced repairs on complex mechanical issues. The Lead Mechanic is responsible for inspecting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining accurate records, and managing parts and inventory. Additionally, this position will coordinate preventative maintenance, assist in developing procedures, and communicate effectively with management regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment status.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
  • 5+ years of mechanical experience (industry-specific experience may be required)
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
