About The Position

Organize assigned workforce for maximum utilization in the performance of quality maintenance and Airworthiness Inspections of assigned aircraft and components. Ensure aircraft are maintained airworthy and all maintenance and inspection actions are performed in accordance with applicable federal regulations, Maintenance Operations Specifications, Manufacturers Technical Data, and Company Maintenance Manual.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid FAA mechanic certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings.
  • Demonstrate the supervisory ability and technical knowledge required to perform the duties of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster a safe and secure working and operating environment, Leadership commitment, and the promotion of safety as a core value of the company.
  • Establish priorities to ensure assigned items affecting airworthiness receive priority.
  • Assign maintenance tasks to assigned workforce personnel so that individuals are performing tasks that they have been trained, qualified, and authorized to accomplish.
  • Identify and report safety concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards using the Company’s confidential, non-punitive SRS in accordance with the Company’s SPM.
  • Monitor all maintenance actions assigned during the shift and provide leadership and technical assistance as necessary to ensure compliance with maintenance manual requirements.
  • Ensure On-the-Job Training (OJT) Form PRO-025 is completed as needed.
  • Verify that troubleshooting and / or diagnostic testing of systems has been thorough, and the proper corrective action has been taken.
  • Responsible for moral and discipline of employees assigned to them.
  • Assure assigned employees are properly trained and qualified.
  • Provide supervision of assigned aircraft cleaning personnel to ensure the interior and exterior of all aircraft are clean.
  • Completion of Maintenance Daily Turnover Log Form PRO-015 during their shift.
  • Review maintenance and inspection documentation such as but not limited to the Aircraft Flight Log PRO-007 and all active maintenance and inspection documents for proper completion and documentation of all maintenance and inspection actions prior to the release of an aircraft for flight, and at the end of the assigned shift.
  • Ensure that all technical documents and manuals assigned to their facility are currently revised and in serviceable condition for use.
  • Monitor the condition of support equipment and provide the necessary actions to maintain this equipment in a safe and operational condition. Responsible for reporting faulty Ground Equipment and maintenance facilities to the Director of Maintenance.
