About The Position

The Lead Mammography Technologist assists personnel with daily departmental activities and produces high-quality mammography images while focusing on customer satisfaction and following established standards of care. The role respects the confidentiality of patients, family members, and staff and upholds a high standard of quality in all aspects of patient care at the Breast Center. The Lead Mammography Technologist participates in MQSA and ACR accreditation processes and works with the department manager or director to maintain optimum image quality. The role may also oversee patient correspondence regarding abnormal results, provide patient education, and provide or oversee staff training and education.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist personnel with daily departmental activities.
• Produce high-quality mammography images according to established standards of care, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Respect the confidentiality of patients, family members, and staff.
• Help ensure ACR accreditation and successful MQSA inspections for the facility.
• Uphold a high standard of quality in patient care at the Breast Center.
• Participate in MQSA and ACR accreditation processes.
• Work with the department manager or director to maintain optimum image quality.
• May oversee patient correspondence regarding abnormal results.
• May provide patient education.
• May provide or oversee staff training and education.
