About The Position

South Sound Radiology (Olympia, WA) is looking for a lead Mammography Technologist to join our team. This position is typically Monday- Friday / day shift, however may have occasional Saturday work. Beautiful Olympia, Washington. Geographically located between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the fresh waters of Budd Inlet and the Deschutes River. The South Sound offers stunning views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountain range. South Sound Radiology is an Imaging Center of Radia. Radia is one of the largest and most progressive radiology groups in the nation. Our team of more than 200 board-certified radiologists, with specialty training in everything from Mammography to Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal to Interventional, provide more than 50 hospital and specialty clinic partners with on-site radiology coverage and interpretations. Requirements

  • National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Advanced certification in Mammography
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS

Responsibilities

  • Properly performs Mammography to ACR standards
  • Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
  • Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
  • Prepares sterile trays as applicable
  • Properly screen orders prior to exam for any precautions or contraindications
  • Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
  • This position may cross cover in X-Ray and DEXA
