Lead Mammography Technologist
About The Position
South Sound Radiology is seeking a lead Mammography Technologist to join their team in Olympia, Washington. This role involves performing Mammography according to ACR standards, assisting patients with imaging, supporting radiologists with procedures, preparing sterile trays, screening orders, providing compassionate patient care, managing patient flow for productivity and safety, and de-escalating conflicts. The position may also involve cross-coverage in X-Ray and DEXA. South Sound Radiology is an Imaging Center of Radia, a large and progressive radiology group providing services to hospitals and clinics.
Requirements
- National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Advanced certification in Mammography
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
- Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS
- Mammography experience
Responsibilities
- Properly performs Mammography to ACR standards
- Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
- Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
- Prepares sterile trays as applicable
- Properly screen orders prior to exam for any precautions or contraindications
- Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
- Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
- Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
- This position may cross cover in X-Ray and DEXA
