This position performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems. The Lead Maintenance Trades Specialist diagnoses and implements complex repairs for multiple Utility System, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems. This role installs/replaces and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems. The specialist operates, monitors and maintains advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and provides oversight of building automation systems to maintain and improve system efficiencies. They maintain vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems, and read and update blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion. This role interfaces with vendors, contractors and construction vendors to ensure safe utility interfacing and tie-in. The Lead Maintenance Trades Specialist is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and ensuring required testing, calibrations and maintenance records are provided and maintained.
