About The Position

Responsible for the technical leadership of 12-hour production shift in Keter’s Portersville, PA manufacturing facility. The position will be the key technical liaison to the shift supervisor and will manage processing and maintenance related activities for 31 injection molding machines, auxiliary processing equipment, material conveyance, chiller systems, etc. The lead will be responsible for safety, quality, machine process startup, preventative and reactive maintenance, root cause problem solving and further technical skill development of the other technical members on the shift. In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To: Plan and document all technical activities on the 12-hour shift, providing a clear and concise handoff for the incoming shift. Attend and communicate all activities at reoccurring 630 shift handoff meetings. Drive safety, quality and efficiency of the manufacturing floor. Production startup of molding equipment following mold change, color change and any other interruption. Responsible for proper startup documentation to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. Ensure all machine cycle times are at or within tolerance of the standard cycle time. Lead and coach the technical staff regarding all manufacturing tasks: material handling, chiller systems, auxiliary equipment, injection molding processing, injection molding machine maintenance, robot programming/maintenance and mold maintenance. Documentation of all maintenance activities into the CMMS program Upkeep. Monitor all color and mold changes to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. Perform mold changes and color changes when required. Collaborate with the team on root cause problem solving and provide solutions to critical problems identified. Collaborate with the Operation to improve key metrics centered around OEE, PEE and quality performance relative to primary and secondary equipment

Requirements

  • Safety first approach
  • Experience with injection molding processing, gantry robots programming and troubleshooting, secondary equipment including chillers, temperature control units, hot runner/valve gate controls, cranes, etc.
  • Proficient with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Root cause problem solving skills
  • GED or Highschool diploma
  • 5-10 years of hands-on processing or maintenance experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment
  • Experience with preventative maintenance systems preferred
