Lead Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

This role is for a Lead Process Maintenance Mechanic in Groveport, OH, working a Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM schedule. The position involves leading a maintenance crew to keep equipment in top shape, operations efficient, and the workplace safe and organized. The Lead Process Maintenance Mechanic will be the go-to person for troubleshooting, planning repairs, and ensuring smooth operations during their shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in assigning and monitoring daily maintenance activities
- Receive line calls and dispatch maintenance personnel as needed
- Keep accurate documentation of repairs, PMs, and changeovers
- Partner with other leads to ensure smooth shift handoffs
- Coach and train maintenance team members on SOPs and best practices
- Help plan and schedule Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities
- Suggest and implement improvements to boost productivity and equipment performance
- Support safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment for everyone
- Track and report downtime, assist with budgets, and share cost-saving ideas
- Foster teamwork and accountability in a respectful, supportive environment
