About The Position

Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and industrial equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, adherence to established procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The position involves working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as operating various types of industrial equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to use basic electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance tools.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, including aerial equipment, and work from heights.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority.
  • Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns.
  • Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
  • Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Installs and modifies equipment and performs preventative and general maintenance including electrical conduit systems and wiring infrastructure.
  • Accurately reads equipment manuals and drawings to make equipment repairs and adjustments.
  • Manages parts and supply requisitions and completes documentation in computerized maintenance management system.
  • Demonstrates strong time management, effective communication, and the ability to work independently.
  • Operates mobile equipment, including aerial equipment, and works from heights.
  • Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
  • Works independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
  • Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement.
  • Leads departmental continuous improvement projects.
  • Supports and executes all safety and health policies and programs.
  • Conducts employee training and incident investigations.
