About The Position

Broadridge is seeking a Lead Machine Operator to perform archival and/or machine operations activities. The role may include overseeing shift operations to help ensure daily performance expectations are met and exceeded. Leadership duties may include training and motivating staff, scheduling and delegating work, performance management, implementing company policies, and collaborating with other departments to ensure quality products are produced. This is a fully onsite role at a Broadridge location. The position involves interpreting production orders, assembling and distributing printed materials, setting up and operating automated equipment, preparing mail for postal acceptance, and ensuring internal and external customer requirements are met. The role may provide temporary supervision when the shift supervisor is absent.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to ensure product quality throughout the process and handle pressure while meeting client expectations.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with people of different personality types.
Ability to relate well, build consensus, and show respect and consideration for others.
Ability to carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work flexible hours or schedules.
Ability to operate a PC and use application software such as Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Interpret production orders to determine accurate job requirements before executing client-printed output.
Assemble printed materials into a final product and distribute the product to its end destination.
Set up and operate high-speed, automated, computer-controlled equipment used to cut, burst, bind, fold, insert, label, stitch, and trim materials.
Set up and operate high-speed presort equipment.
Prepare mail for acceptance by the Post Office and ensure internal and external customer requirements are met.
Provide temporary supervision in the absence of the shift supervisor.
Maintain efficiency and ensure the work environment follows safety procedures and company and departmental policies and procedures.
Provide input on performance appraisals.
Promote collaboration and strong work ethics.
Depending on assignment, oversee shift operations, train and motivate staff, schedule and delegate work, manage performance, carry out company policies, and collaborate with other departments or divisions.
