About The Position

The Lead Logistics Technician supports the day-to-day operations of Sanford Ambulance by managing inventory and logistics so emergency response crews have the supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment they need. The role is responsible for procuring, receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies and equipment, as well as maintaining inventory controls and familiarity with inventory locations throughout the department and designated units.

The position also supports fleet management by coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs, scheduling service appointments, and arranging transportation of vehicles to and from service providers. The technician serves as a resource for questions and concerns and oversees day-to-day activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent inventory management work experience or leadership experience.
• May require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and logistics for ambulance operations, including medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
• Order, receive, stock, and distribute supplies, equipment, and/or instruments as directed by the department.
• Procure rental equipment and handle invoicing as needed.
• Maintain inventory control procedures to support safety, quality, and accuracy.
• Know the location of inventory in the department and throughout designated units.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, schedule service appointments, and facilitate vehicle transportation to and from service providers.
• Serve as a resource for questions and concerns and oversee day-to-day activities.
• Prioritize work effectively, follow up, and escalate issues when necessary.
