About The Position

The Lead Janitorial Cleaner helps ensure facility operations follow established policies and procedures. The role coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments and guiding team members, and provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Lead demonstrates cleaning and safety standards to help keep buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The position also involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with general janitorial duties as needed. At least six months of lead cleaner experience is required. The shift is 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Requirements

• At least six months of lead cleaner experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of similar work experience.
• One year of customer service experience.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
• Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Safeguard keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken, or out-of-service features and items.
• Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
• Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
• Train new hires assigned to the building according to onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Obtain any additional certifications or training needed for the site type.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
