About The Position

The Lead Janitorial Cleaner ensures facility operations follow established policies and procedures. The role coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments and guiding team members, and provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is absent. The Shift Leader demonstrates standards for keeping buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The position also involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with general janitorial duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least six months of lead cleaner experience.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of similar work experience.

• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
• Assist with creating daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken, or nonfunctional features and items.
• Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
• Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
• Train new hires assigned to the building according to onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
