About The Position

This position is for a Full-time, benefited Lead IR Tech role at Scripps Health's magnet-recognized La Jolla Memorial hospital. The shift is 10 hours with the ability to take week night and weekend call shifts. The role is responsible for providing age-specific care, education, and imaging procedures, adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements, and participating in QC and PI activities. The Lead IR Tech maintains clinical competency and mandatory requirements, functions as a liaison between state and federal agencies for licensure, certification, and QA requirements for the Interventional Radiology department, and maintains all records to verify regulations are being maintained. Additionally, the role is responsible for charge reconciliation audits for procedures performed in the IR department.

Requirements

  • CRT
  • Fluoro
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT (VI) Vascular Interventional Radiography
  • 3 years of interventional radiology experience is strongly preferred.
  • leadership experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery

Responsibilities

  • Providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team.
  • Adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in QC and PI activities.
  • Maintaining own clinical competency and mandatory requirements.
