About The Position

The Lead Instructor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the after-school program at their assigned school site. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, ensuring the program runs smoothly while maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging environment for students, staff, and families. The Lead Instructor provides guidance and support to instructors, oversees daily program logistics, and serves as the primary point of contact for site staff and parents when needed. Responsibilities include managing student snack distribution, supervising sign-in and sign-out procedures, monitoring program operations, addressing on-site concerns or conflicts, and ensuring all program policies and procedures are followed. The Lead Instructor also communicates with supervisors regarding any incidents, concerns, or operational needs and helps foster a positive, professional atmosphere for both students and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the after-school program at the assigned site.
  • Support, supervise, and provide guidance to instructors on site.
  • Ensure student safety through proper supervision and adherence to program policies.
  • Manage daily student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee student snack distribution.
  • Address and resolve on-site conflicts or concerns involving students, staff, or program operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for parents and school staff regarding routine program matters.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors regarding incidents, concerns, staffing, or program needs.
  • Ensure classrooms remain organized, prepared, and operating efficiently throughout the program day.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for students while maintaining professionalism at all times.
