After School STEM Enrichment Instructor
About The Position
Snapology is a leading Children's Enrichment franchise known for its core values and curriculum, which is based on the principle that children learn best through active creation, design, interaction, and invention. The primary focus of this role is to teach Snapology programs at elementary schools after the regular school day. The instructor will foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM concepts. This position requires collaboration with Snapology leadership and professional representation of the organization to parents and children.
Requirements
- State and Federal Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances must be within 1 year, and cleared to work with children in PA.
- Negative TB test result within 3 months.
- Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally in English
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Nice To Haves
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended
- College students pursuing a degree in education are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in live training sessions
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
