About The Position
Busby’s is seeking a highly skilled Lead Installation Technician who demonstrates advanced expertise in HVAC installation and system startup, with a strong commitment to customer service, precision, efficiency, and field leadership. This role involves leading installations, coaching and developing other installers, ensuring job completion without missing materials, and proficiently using ServiceTitan for documentation and payment collection. The technician will execute clean, code-compliant wiring, apply a solid understanding of duct sizing and design principles, and consistently perform flawless startups and precision system charging. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and install line sets and line hide with professional, showroom-quality results.
Requirements
- Highly skilled Lead Installation Technician
- Advanced expertise in HVAC installation and system startup
- Strong commitment to customer service, precision, efficiency, and field leadership
- 3-5+ years of experience
- Experienced, truck-ready leaders
- Proficient in ServiceTitan (preferred) documentation and on-site payment collection
- Execute clean, code-compliant low and high voltage wiring
- Solid understanding of duct sizing and design principles
- Consistent execution of flawless startups and precision system charging
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and independently
- Install line sets and line hide with professional, showroom-quality results

Responsibilities
- Lead installations with confidence and set the standard in the field
- Coach and develop installers on proper procedures
- Completion of at least 80% of jobs without missing materials
- Proficient in ServiceTitan (preferred) documentation and on-site payment collection
- Execute clean, code-compliant low and high voltage wiring
- Solid understanding of duct sizing and design principles
- Consistent execution of flawless startups and precision system charging
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and independently
- Install line sets and line hide with professional, showroom-quality results

- Base hourly rate is $18-$25/hr based on experience. + install bonuses. We pay "flat rate" for installs.
