Lead Infeed Material Operator
About The Position
The Lead Infeed Material Operator supports the flow of material to extruders for processing and leads the department shift in a safe and efficient manner. The role performs all In Feed Operator functions, trains new operators in operating, maintaining, and cleaning blending systems, and operates and troubleshoots material blending systems. The operator ensures required paperwork is complete, writes work orders for items needing repair, communicates about issues with supervisors, process technicians, operators, and maintenance staff, follows company safety procedures, and participates in continuous improvement sessions related to blending systems, equipment, and procedures. Other assigned duties may also be performed. The listed salary range is $22.72 to $25.57 per hour. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on a 2-2-3 rotation.
Requirements
- Must currently be an Operator or In Feed Operator.
- Ability to operate a forklift and standing forklift safely and efficiently.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how equipment works.
- A safety-oriented attitude and the ability to work safely.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, process technicians, operators, and maintenance staff about issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform all In Feed Operator functions.
