A Lead HVAC Installer plays a pivotal role in driving the HVAC team's success and contributes significantly to our business. By working diligently and maximizing our commission structure, you can attain one of the top 5 most lucrative roles within the company. You will report directly to the HVAC Service Manager and collaborate with other HVAC Installers and HVAC Service Techs, taking an active role in leading and training HVAC Apprentices. At SALT, we do not hire seasonally for HVAC; instead, we seek out HVAC experts whom we view as potential leaders and future managers within our growing company.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of HVAC installation experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Valid EPA and TDLR

Responsibilities

  • Expertly install replacement systems, ensuring client satisfaction and showcasing superior service and quality.
  • Utilize floor savers and drop cloths to maintain cleanliness and protect clients' homes during installations.
  • Re-check each aspect of an installation using the Installation Excellence Form to prevent callbacks.
  • Explain the installed system to the client, ensuring their complete satisfaction with the work.
  • Prioritize safety, both on the job and while driving, and ensure the assistant installer follows safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a production level as determined by management and the annual plan.
  • Perform full system change-outs in an average of one day or less.
  • Keep the company truck neat and clean, recognizing it as a valuable billboard for the company.
  • Train installation assistants for maximum installation efficiency.
  • Complete installation paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to the company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
  • Perform tasks involving climbing ladders, heavy lifting (50-75 pounds), ladder work, and tight space work.
  • Operate handheld power tools and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Work beyond a 40-hour workweek, up to 12 hours per day, if required.
