About The Position

The Lead HVAC Installer leads installation projects from start to finish, guides helpers, ensures quality work, and makes sure each job is completed safely. The role involves performing full system change-outs, maintaining production levels set by management, and delivering a professional, customer-focused installation experience. The Lead Installer is expected to follow company policies and procedures, protect customers’ homes, maintain clean work areas and trucks, and verify installations before leaving the job site.

Requirements

• Able to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
• Able to climb and work on ladders.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Able to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Must pass drug testing and background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation projects from start to finish and guide helper or assistant installers.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Promote a positive, professional, and friendly work environment; work hard, smart, and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and use drop cloths to protect customers’ floors; keep the work area neat.
• Re-check each aspect of an installation using the Installation Excellence Form to prevent callbacks.
• Explain the installed system to the client and ensure the client is fully satisfied with the work.
• Work safely on the job and while driving, and ensure the assistant installer works safely and neatly.
• Maintain the minimum production level determined by management and the annual plan.
• Perform full system change-outs within the timeframe determined by the manager.
• Keep company trucks clean and neat inside and outside.
• Adhere to company policies and codes when performing installation jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
