Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLCCarson, CA
$82,000 - $114,500Hybrid

About The Position

Lakeshore Learning's products reach millions of children through the educators and families who trust us - and the systems that power our people operations have to be just as thoughtful as the products we make. As our Lead HRIS Analyst, you'll hold the configuration design decisions for our HCM platform, working from business requirements set by HR leadership, and turn what HR needs into a system that works for everyone who touches it. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows enterprise HCM deeply and takes real pride in getting the details right.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in HRIS, HR systems, or HR technology, including hands-on configuration and day-to-day administration of a live HCM tenant.
  • At least 3 years of direct configuration experience in a major HCM platform, with working knowledge of security administration, business process frameworks, and reporting tools.
  • Experience on at least one full HCM implementation or major module implementation, in a functional or design lead capacity.
  • Experience supporting hourly and non-exempt populations, including time and attendance and absence.
  • Practical understanding of payroll and benefits data structures, multi-state wage and hour rules as they apply to system configuration, and HR data privacy and access control.
  • Data conversion and system integration work, including mapping, reconciliation, and working directly with implementation partners or external vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 7 or more years of HRIS experience, including work on both the customer side and the implementation side of an HCM rollout.
  • Hands-on experience in time tracking and absence configuration for a multi-state, multi-site hourly workforce.
  • Experience with ADP Vantage.
  • HCM platform certification in any track.
  • Degree concentration in Human Resources, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
  • You hold your design positions when vendors and project timelines push back.
  • You map what breaks downstream before a configuration decision gets made.
  • You're comfortable walking into a room with competing priorities and coming out with something everyone can actually work with, especially when your findings aren't what people were hoping to hear.

Responsibilities

  • Hold configuration design decisions across the platform, turning approved business requirements into system design including reporting and calculated fields, weighing partner recommendations, and building and validation configuration against agreed design.
  • Design the security and workflow model for all user populations, turning access requirements into group structure and security policy, partnering with IT on access governance and identity management, and documenting configuration standards.
  • Define integration requirements for payroll, timekeeping, and third-party vendors, including data mapping and error handling, and approve sign off on.
  • Determine data conversion and mapping design, define cleansing requirements, and review converted data each cycle to decide whether it's ready.
  • Design the end-to-end test approach, including payroll parallel runs and user acceptance testing and prioritize.
  • Serve as the HRIS team's subject matter expert on HCM configuration and reporting, bring the team up on the platform, and document design decisions so the rationale stays with Lakeshore
