About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Lead Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This position is based at their Santa Ana, CA facility. As a member of the extended leadership team, the primary function of this position is to directly support Eaton’s facilities in Santa Ana in the development, implementation and execution of human resources programs and policies to meaningfully impact workplace culture, make Eaton an employer of choice and achieve operational and functional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources
  • Minimum 1 year of HR experience in a manufacturing plant or operations environment
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in human resources or an MBA with a human resources concentration
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a plant or operations environment preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese preferred
  • Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders independently.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Accountable and action-oriented; ability to drive change and business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills across all organization levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and tactical human resources activities, implementations, projects, integration items, events, and processes for the Santa Ana operations facilities.
  • Advocate, voice concerns, and transparently share employee feedback with operations leaders through listening channels and facilitation of upward feedback discussions.
  • Provide counsel to support and resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and develop proactive strategies to address potential issues.
  • Mentor and develop local HR team to drive functional excellence and provide guidance and support to divisional HR function to align and advance the greater CPS HR strategy.
  • Coordinate disability claims, leaves of absences, and workers compensation claims with HR Services, their party administrator and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Develop and implement Inclusion & Diversity strategy for plant by leading engagement and community involvement initiatives to achieve Eaton’s aspirational goals.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring. Counsel and influence leadership on policies, practices, laws, and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs are in compliance with local and governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and influence leaders to improve leader effectiveness, positively impact workplace culture and make Eaton an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational development and lead change management initiatives.
  • Maintain an enterprise mindset by providing HR support to other local sites outside of base business as needed.
