About The Position

Progress West Hospital is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to join their team. This role is responsible for daily housekeeping services, ensuring the hospital is cleaned to prevent infections and maintain a visually pleasing environment. The Lead Housekeeper will follow established procedures and may assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor. This position requires direct patient interaction and is crucial in supporting the hospital's guiding principles of providing customized care that reflects patient needs, values, and choices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree
• 2-5 years experience
• < 2 years Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs routine cleaning activities in inpatient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Assumes supervisor responsibilities in the absence of supervisor.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure and reports defects to supervisor.
