About The Position

Brookings Health System is seeking a reliable, hard-working Lead Environmental Services Technician to join our team to deliver the best possible care. This position will help keep the facility clean and disinfected for patient and resident care, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for visiting family and friends. The role involves performing and communicating cleaning duties to meet facility standards, participating in the department's quality improvement initiatives, and actively participating in customer service activities. The incumbent must be able to multitask and respond effectively to constant interruptions, maintaining the highest level of customer service at all times. Responsibilities include sanitizing patient care areas, waiting areas, work surfaces, patient and resident rooms, and restrooms. Additionally, the housekeeping lead will be responsible for preparing work schedules, providing work direction, and participating in annual reviews.

Requirements

Must possess basic knowledge of laundry and housekeeping processes.
Must be able to do moderate lifting.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Performs and communicates cleaning duties to meet facility standards.
Will be involved in and aware of the department's quality improvement.
Actively participate in customer service activities when requested.
Responsible for sanitizing patient care areas, waiting areas, work surfaces, patient and resident rooms and restrooms.
