ROLE SUMMARY: In addition to regular Host responsibilities, the Lead Host will assist with reservations and attend to all inquiries via telephone, email, and in person. The ideal candidate possesses a guest first attitude, strong commitment to service, and excellent communication skills. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented, and encourage a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing reservations.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Suite.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy with excellent time management skills.
  • Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to tables in a gracious and professional manner.
  • Interact with guests and fellow staff members in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure all guests have an exemplary dining experience.
  • Greet and acknowledge VIPs in a professional manner.
  • Ensure that all reservations are recorded following established procedures with full and clear information.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the operation of the business, including all food and drink menus, to ensure that you can respond to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to solving any guest’s questions or problems.
  • Direct guest to the appropriate waiting area and provide updates table statuses.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using their name, and encouraging them to return to the restaurant.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
  • Assist in supervising food servers, bussers, and food runners as it relates to the guest contact and table information.
  • Communicate with Management regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests, and VIP requests.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company
  • Ensure compliance of all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, and Health Department
  • Assist with LPD requests.
  • Liaise with clients and customers to coordinate corporate events.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure the best service is provided to our customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
