About The Position

PharmD on Demand is seeking an experienced Lead Hospital Pharmacy Technician to work at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Georgia. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and is willing to assist where necessary. The role assists pharmacists in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients and hospital personnel, and includes medication handling, inventory management, sterile compounding support, medication delivery, and automated dispensing cabinet stock maintenance. The position is full-time, scheduled for 32–40 hours per week. Requirements

Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s).
3–5 years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
Receive and store incoming medication and supply deliveries.
Calculate figures and amounts related to dosage calculations when filling prescriptions for patients ranging from newborns to older adults.
Maintain pharmacy and departmental supply inventories and reorder supplies as needed.
Answer the phone and communicate effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist.
Perform sterile-compounding-related tasks, including clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space.
Prepare and deliver medications to designated locations according to end-user needs.
Maintain stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.
