About The Position

WM is seeking a Lead Heavy Equipment Operator for a traveling position. This role is crucial for waste management and environmental services, operating heavy equipment like bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders. The position involves working at recycling facilities and waste disposal sites, adhering to strict safety procedures and operating equipment with a high level of skill.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Travelling from site to site
  • Must be competent operating garbage compactors, dozers, excavators, skid steers, articulating dump trucks, and wheel loader.
  • Be over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.
  • Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as per guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
