This role is for a Lead Hand in Pools & Landscape Construction. The primary focus is on site productivity and team coordination, working directly with a crew and Foreman to build custom pools and complex residential/commercial landscapes. The position involves assisting the Foreman with task sequencing and daily layout, providing hands-on coaching and technical guidance to crew members, and executing high-level construction tasks such as pool structural prep, coping placement, final grading, hardscape cutting, and water feature integration. The role also requires overseeing critical drainage, excavation, and sub-base preparation phases, ensuring structural longevity. Additionally, the Lead Hand will operate and oversee the use of heavy/light equipment and specialized power tools, conduct daily inspections, and ensure assets are secured. A key aspect is modeling a proactive safety culture, participating in Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), ensuring proper PPE utilization, and enforcing OHS protocols. During winter months (November through April), the role transitions to snow and ice management operations, requiring a flexible schedule.
