About The Position

The Lead Guest Services Team Member processes merchandise and fuel transactions while leading a shift of one to two cashiers. The role supports guest service, oversees shift procedures and team member assignments, and assists with other travel center operations as needed. The position also ensures activities comply with company policies and applicable rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead a shift of one to two cashiers processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
Complete end-of-shift reports and closeout procedures.
Follow company and local guidelines for selling restricted merchandise, including alcohol and tobacco.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
Handle guest complaints and issues according to company processes and guidelines, resolve team member conflicts, and communicate issues to management.
Determine break schedules and team member placement during the shift.
Assist with other travel center functions, such as maintaining the deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, and making coffee.
Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose and ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
Ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned.
