Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Ski industry experience
  • Knowledge of Park City Mountain resort and local area
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluent in English Language
  • Ability to work in ski/snowboard boots in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Advanced Intermediate or better skiing or snowboarding ability (ungroomed blues and groomed blacks)
  • Solid communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to converse clearly, comfortably and calmy with guests and employees.
  • Solid computer skills within a variety of platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in guest service and /or resort operations

Responsibilities

  • Train, support, and assist in managing the daily performance and safety of Mountain Host staff to ensure departmental goals are met or exceeded
  • Maintain a safe working environment for both employees and guests through proactive oversight and adherence to safety protocols
  • Provide a consistent presence at key base and on-mountain locations, offering guests accurate directions, terrain guidance, and skiing/riding recommendations based on conditions and guest ability
  • Ski or ride between assigned stations to monitor operations, support Mountain Host staff, and proactively engage guests who may need assistance
  • Collaborate with management to calmly direct and guide the team during lift holds, terrain closures, weather impacts, and other operational disruptions
  • Lead daily safety and service meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
  • Monitor and document staff performance and behavior, delivering meaningful feedback, recognition, corrective action, or escalation when appropriate
  • Receive, assess, and resolve guest questions, comments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage lost-and-found processes, support new-hire training, and oversee daily roster organization
  • Partner with other departments to enhance the guest experience and resolve cross-departmental guest issues effectively
