Lead GTM Systems Administrator

Engine
$108,885 - $150,700Hybrid

About The Position

Engine is transforming business travel by creating a personalized, rewarding, and simple experience. They are building a platform that integrates corporate travel, a charge card, and modern spend management. To achieve this vision, they are seeking mission-driven individuals to redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Engine is a rapidly growing, cash-flow-positive company backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira, recognized for its growth in the travel and fintech sectors. The role focuses on owning the Supply GTM stack, administering call recording, sequencing, and data enrichment platforms, and managing the underlying Salesforce and iPaaS foundation. The position involves building solutions declaratively first, writing Apex code when necessary, ensuring data integrity, designing scalable processes, setting administrative standards, and leading tool evaluation and rollout.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years in Salesforce administration, ideally supporting sales, business development, outbound, or RevOps.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required.
  • Deep declarative expertise: Flow (all types), validation rules, permission sets, sharing/security model, and sound data model design.
  • Working developer fluency on the platform: ability to read and write lightweight Apex (triggers via a handler pattern, simple classes, async/batch, test classes) and build LWCs for custom interfaces.
  • Understanding of governor limits, bulkification, and the discipline of clicks-over-code.
  • Comfortable working in an AI-first development workflow: hands-on experience using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools.
  • Hands-on experience administering core sales tool categories: call recording / conversation intelligence, sequencing / outbound engagement, and data enrichment.
  • Integration experience: comfortable owning data sync between Salesforce and connected GTM tools through an iPaaS layer.
  • Track record of leading multi-stakeholder initiatives and coordinating across teams.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can separate signal from noise, make a recommendation, and bring partners along.

Nice To Haves

  • Platform App Builder and/or Platform Developer I certification strongly preferred.
  • Travel, hospitality, or marketplace experience.
  • Exposure to Data Cloud and Agentforce.
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD for Salesforce (Git, sfdx).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Supply GTM stack, administering call recording, sequencing, and data enrichment platforms end-to-end.
  • Administer user setup, permissions, sequences, and automations, troubleshooting alongside the Salesforce and iPaaS foundation.
  • Lead multiple concurrent initiatives, set direction, and communicate trade-offs with precision.
  • Design and ship solutions Flow-first (record-triggered, screen, and scheduled Flows; validation rules; permission-based security).
  • Write lightweight Apex (trigger handlers, small async/batch jobs, test coverage) and build Lightning Web Components for custom UI.
  • Guard data integrity across the stack, ensuring accurate sync and data quality between Salesforce and connected tools.
  • Monitor system health, diagnose sync failures, and build guardrails for data cleanliness.
  • Partner with sales leadership and RevOps to turn manual workflows into scalable automation.
  • Define admin standards, documentation, and conventions for the stack.
  • Mentor junior admins, serve as an escalation point for tooling issues, and coach the team on cross-functional decisions.
  • Drive evaluation, selection, and implementation of new tooling for the stack.
