About The Position

As a Lead Flight Test Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in leading and overseeing the development and execution of flight test strategies and plans. You will design and implement test methodologies and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. Additionally, you will mentor and provide technical guidance to flight test engineers. You will report directly to our Flight Test Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location (Engines Campus) on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development, certification, and demonstration of Honeywell's aerospace products, ensuring their safety, performance, and compliance with aviation regulations. You will lead flight test projects on various experimental aircraft throughout Flight Test Fleet of 8 aircraft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering
  • Expert knowledge of flight test methodologies and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
