Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Lead Financial Systems and Transformation Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a Hybrid position and will report to the Director, Financial Systems. This role will support automation and standardization, finance transformation initiatives, finance system implementations, ERP improvements, process changes, testing, training, and post-go-live support. This position may require up to 25% of domestic and international travel and will be considered an exempt employee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial systems, business systems, process improvement, consulting, or finance transformation.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes such as general ledger, close, reporting, reconciliations, AP, AR, procurement, billing, budgeting, or forecasting.
  • Hands-on or super user experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, process improvement, reporting, or automation initiatives.
  • Ability to gather requirements, document processes, identify gaps, and work with technical teams to support solution delivery.
  • Strong Excel, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant systems certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with OneStream, Power BI, BlackLine, Coupa, Concur, or similar tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance transformation initiatives focused on improving efficiency, standardization, controls, reporting, and scalability across finance and accounting processes.
  • Support finance systems implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization projects
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate manual or inconsistent processes.
  • Support transformation efforts across month-end close, account reconciliations, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and project accounting processes.
  • Help evaluate process gaps between current business practices and ERP/system capabilities, recommending practical solutions that align with business needs.
  • Assist with change management activities, including stakeholder communication, user readiness, training, adoption tracking, and post-implementation support.
  • Support development of process documentation, standard operating procedures, control documentation, and training materials for new or improved finance processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure finance transformation initiatives are delivered on time, with clear ownership, measurable outcomes, and sustainable adoption.
  • Help define and track key success measures for transformation initiatives, including cycle-time reduction, automation benefits, reporting improvements, process standardization, and control enhancements.
